CookTech has over 30 years of experience with commercial microwave and food service technology in New Zealand. Owner Alan came to Utopia looking for a website to allow ordering of parts and hospitality kitchen equipment. Customers would be able to browse easily for parts that match the equipment they already have installed. A Content Management System (CMS) was also required so staff could easily update the site. The CMS platform chosen for this project was CMS Made Simple.
After discussing content and functionality Utopia produced a mock-up of the new site using the logo and colours supplied. This was fine-tuned and the final website implemented. After the website implementation Utopia entered the content supplied by the client.
The website uses an ecommerce platform for managing the products (which are machine parts) available for ordering. Alan can quickly update these products by importing from a CSV file. This allows for quick updating across the whole range. Pricing is included so customers have an idea of what they are ordering. They can review the order, add more parts, then “check out”. Alan then completes the order with payments handled outside of the website.
Utopia helped to arrange the website hosting. The new website is fully responsive allowing it to work across multiple devices like phones and tablets. Search Engine Optimisation was completed on the website pages and content. A website form on the contact page allows visitors to easily make an enquiry.
