New brand

Vaka Pasifika is a Charitable Trust created with the intention to empower and support Pacific Island people to take charge of their lives to enjoy and participate in developing New Zealand society. They came to Utopia seeking a refresh of their existing brand. They also needed a new website for their organisation. A Content Management System (CMS) was also required so staff could easily update the site. The CMS platform chosen for this project was CMS Made Simple.

Utopia held a number of workshops to gather information around their brand requirements. Different options of logo were created. These evolved over a few weeks along with additional fonts, colours, and display options. Vaka Pasifika signed-off on the final brand, and the website design began.  After discussing content and functionality Utopia produced a mock-up of the new site.  This was fine-tuned and the final website implemented.

A website form on the contact page allows visitors to easily make an enquiry. Utopia helped to arrange the website hosting.  The new website is fully responsive allowing it to work across multiple devices like phones and tablets.  Search Engine Optimisation was completed on the website pages and content.  The blog enables quick and easy publication of regular information to the website visitors. Videos embedded from providers like YouTube and Vimeo can be used to show recorded church services.
