Forged Alloy designed ute trays, tool boxes and canopies. Company Director Brett came to Utopia looking at how to streamline quotes for the ute canopies they manufacture and install. The objective was to give the customers the ability to visually “build their own ute” and when happy, get a quick quote emailed to them.

Utopia set to work in designing a prototype of how the ute builder could work. This required computer generated renderings of the various components that makeup a ute canopy. Utopia worked with Brett and his team to understand what was possible with their CAD software, and, how the images could create a fantastic customer experience.

The customer can select various options for their ute. This includes vehicle size, cab size, type of canopy, and the type of special addons. As the customer selects options they are presented with a 3D rendering of how their ute could look. This includes adding in pull-out draws and other features. At the end, the customer can click to see a quote for the build of their ute. By providing their details, they are then emailed a quote including a picture of the final ute and a complete breakdown of the build.

Forged Alloy now receive leads from customers who have already looked at what they want and seen a quote for the build. It has streamlined the sales process and put the design of the ute into the hands of the customer.
