A Content Management System (CMS) is an application that allows you to create and run your website. With it you get an administration panel - an interface where you can create and update pages, posts and other types of content (images, videos, etc) and arrange the content the way you need. You will also be able to change some aspects of the design of the site. All the actions are done simply by clicking buttons - you will not have to write code or scripts in most cases.
